These workshops are held at weekends at various venues around Cumbria. The workshops give an introduction to simple meditation techniques and also include a 'continental brunch' .

Introduction to Meditation and Buddhism

These one-off evening sessions provide an introduction to Buddhist thought and meditation.

The methods taught in these sessions can be practiced by anyone. The simple practices you will learn help to reduce anxiety and stress enabling you to develop a positive outlook and sense of wellbeing in your daily life.

The session consists of guided meditations, teaching, opportunity to ask questions, and refreshments
No previous experience is necessary
Fee per session £5
No need to book, just turn up

Public Open Days are a great opportunity to visit the centre and have a relaxing day with friends and family.

Everyone is welcome.

Uma Centre Summer Fundraising Event
Sponsored walk in the Lake District - Blencathra Summit

Each year Uma Centre holds a summer fundraising event such as a sponsored walk in the lake district.

Why not join us for this years event?

The Walk:

From Scales to Keswick via Blencathra Summit
2500 ft of ascent,
6 – 7 hours of walking at a gentle pace
including plenty of stops!


When:
Saturday 21st June, 10am

Where:
Meet for 10am at Keswick Bus Station (Booth’s car park). Bus to the White Horse Inn at Scales

What to Bring:
Pack Lunch
Drinking Water
Walking Boots
Waterproof top / bottoms
