School Visits

Uma Buddhist Centre provides educational visits for school groups. Groups can come to visit the centre or teachers from the centre can come to give talks to your group in school.

We can give introductory talks that provide a general introduction to Buddhism. These talks consist of Buddha's life story, an explanation of Buddhist principles, a short guided breathing meditation and a question and answers session.

We can also organise talks on specific topics allowing you to specify exactly what you would like the talk, discussion, and guided meditation to cover.

Please try to book in good time in order that we can try to accommodate your needs.

Details:

  • Sessions last approximately 1 hour.
  • The fee is £15 per hour (1 hour minimum).
  • Where a teacher needs to travel to give talks in school , travel expenses will be claimed at 20p per mile.
